Thank you for your
interest in being a volunteer for Legends Over Madera
Air Show 2009. We are glad that you may want to be a
part of this incredible event. Being a volunteer for
Legends Over Madera is a great way to show community
support and have fun while doing it. Your participation
will help this event be a great success!
Legends Over
Madera donates revenue back to charities and other
non-profit organizations. If your organization has an
interest in volunteering time to the event please make
sure to let us know. We welcome applications from
individuals, clubs, companies, individuals, and
families…we value anyone’s help and support
We need volunteers
to assist in various categories both pre-event and
during the actual event weekend. Here are some of the
volunteer areas along with a brief description:
Pre-Event
Volunteers
– (needed
as soon as now or 1 week prior, whatever your time
allows)
- Marketing -
distribution of marketing materials
- Media/Press -
(contact media to provide event information, etc.)
- Sponsor & VIP
Logistics (call potential sponsors, help coordinate
sponsor benefits)
- Other – there
are numerous facets of the event that we will need
your help with
Pre-Event
volunteers will receive the following benefits:

or Sunday admission

- Official Air
Show Souvenir Volunteer T-shirt
- Official Air
Show Poster
Event Weekend – Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Beverage
Sales (groups only)
- Admissions –
Ticket sales, ticket scanning, gate support
- VIP
Hospitality – assist in VIP chalets
- Lost & Found
booth
- Media/Press
Assistance
- Ground
Operations & Facilities – help vendors and
concession booth operators, set up and take down
chairs & tables as needed on grounds
- Courtesy/Information Booth
- Volunteer
Services – check in, scheduling, breaks, water
distribution, etc.
- Transportation – golf cart shuttle service for
volunteers, air show personnel, VIP’s, & handicapped
assistance…
- VIP Parking
lot assistance
- Marketing
services – hang and take down event banners and
signs
- Parking –
collect fees, help direct cars to parking spaces,
communicate with other parking lots on space needs
Volunteer
Shifts and Benefits
Volunteers are
asked to work at least 5 hours per shift during air show
weekend (Friday – Sunday). In turn, volunteers during
the show will receive:
- Wristband for
admission each day you volunteer – yes you will be
working but should have time to enjoy the
festivities as well!

Show Volunteer T-shirt
- Official Air
Show Poster
Volunteers working
8 hours per shift will also receive the following:
- Complimentary
lunch on days worked
